Woodturning is an ancient craft of carving by using chisels while the wood is on a spinning, or "turning" lathe.   Today's modern woodturners create beautiful vessels and objects that have practical use and artistic decorative merit.

AAW: American Association of Woodturners

AAW: American Association of Woodturners

The TWG is a chapter of  the AAW, the worlds foremost woodturning authority. There are many benefits to joining the AAW including receiving their very fine magazine "American Woodturner".  Through this group you can be connected with all the leading trends and have the opportunity to attend the annual symposium.  Very importantly  AAW members are covered by the chapter liability insurance that AAW provides to local chapters.  We encourage all members to take a personal membership with the AAW.  Get more information at www.woodturner.org
