Normally held on the first Tuesday of every month from September to June, these meetings have an educational focus and are intended of interest to all experienced woodturners - from beginner to advanced. (Note: when the first Tuesday is a Public Holiday, the meeting takes place on the second Tuesday of the month.) They also offer time for networking and social interaction.
General Meetings include four components:
-
Show & Tell Table: Members are encouraged to bring in their current projects and share experiences and what they have learned - a great opportunity for exchange, acknowledgement and encouragement.
-
Wood Turning Demo: The Guild hosts experienced demonstrators who show their projects, techniques, and methods, and answer questions from the audience. Our experienced videographers capture up-close details and project them on screen so you don't miss a thing. There are no bad seats in the shop.
-
Lending Library: Members have access to borrow from our extensive collection of woodturning books and videos. For more information, go to the Library page.
