
Hands-On Sessions
For our members only:
These sessions are for beginning turners who want to learn how to work on a lathe. Under the watchful eye of our experienced tutors, you can gain confidence in the fundamentals of turning: from proper sharpening of tools to efficient shaping techniques. Safety is emphasized.
For the spring of 2026, the sessions will be drop-in: bring your own wood and tools. Themes will be decided a couple of weeks before the session, based on member interest. Sign-up opportunities will be communicated through our newsletter.
Dates: the third Sunday of the month (unless otherwise noted).
Time: 10:30am to 2:30pm. Lunch is not provided.
